The Her Universe Fashion Show is one of the highlights of San Diego Comic-Con each year. Since it’s debut in 2014, the annual event gives aspiring fashion designers the chance to showcase one-of-a-kind, geek couture designs on the runway. It’s always a treat to speak with Eckstein, who was kind enought to take the time to talk with Fashion and Fandom before the 2023 Her Universe Fashion Show.

After a three-year absence from holding an in-person show due to the COVID pandemic, Her Universe founder, Ashley Eckstein is bringing her geek couture fashion show back to San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Fashion and Fandom spoke with the actress, entrepreneur and best-selling author on the eve of the show about returning to San Diego for the 8th year, the inspirations behind creating her fandom label Her Universe, new projects, Ahsoka and more!

It’s hard for me to believe but "Battlestar Galactica’s" first episode, “33” aired for the first time on SyFy on January 14, 2005. The episode was lauded by both cast and crew, and went on to win the 2005 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.
